Boom! Cheaply priced double CD covering all the relevant periods and sounds of the Fiends' work with a brill discography and bio in the liner. From the painfully long original version of "Drive My Rocket (Up Uranus)", to the psych-out freakiness of "In And Out Of My Mind" to the (comparatively) new cheeze-tech of "Inferno", this comp provides as accurate a snapshot of what ASF is about as two discs can afford. Should be the first purchase of anyone just getting started, and could be useful to those who want the best tracks from their stack o' Fiend vinyl on CD. But then again, yer missing out on having Nik's deelish artwork all big n' vibrant if you go the CD route; better off to just buy any and all Fiend vinyl you come across. Huh. You can't beat a thoroughly admirable "best of" for a short and boring review, eh?
